A very popular monofloral honey across North America, the predominant nectar source for sage honey is the flower of the Salvia officinalis plant more commonly referred to as sage. You’re more likely to be familiar with the leaves of the herb, which are commonly used in the culinary world to spice up a variety of dishes. A unique feature of sage honey is that it is extremely slow to crystallize. So, no need to worry about a change in texture if you’re slow to consume your honey.
Our sage honey is extracted following pollination of black button sage in the spring time along California’s central coast.
